Enjoy building the collection. As someone born while John Fitzgerald Kennedy was President of the United States, I have always had an affinity for this series. I am presently working on NGC graded clad proof issues with thirteen more of them to go. Between individual examples, uncirculated coin sets, proof coin sets, silver proof coin sets and graded examples, I have them all. It is an enjoyable and attainable set to acquire.

Kennedy half dollars are one of my favorite sets, going back to my early YN collecting days. I'm also working on the same P&D album, using Mint Sets to fill the holes. As is documented elsewhere on CCF, it's actually not easy to find nice, problem-free, uncirculated clad coins from the 70s, 80s, and even 90s. Then because of the satin finish Mint Sets of 2005-2010, I have to buy all the standard business strikes from those years individually. I also avoid the SMS coins of 1965-1967, so standard business strikes in gem BU are hard to find from those years.

Best of luck and enjoy the hunt! Keep us updated on your progress.

Thanks to everyone who responded and the nice comments!

So I have been very, VERY slowly chipping away at this album. Lol. Honestly, mostly due to the fact that half dollars are usually pretty hard to find. I did purchase a few from my local coin store.

I was actually lucky enough to come across two rolls of them yesterday at my credit union. No silver coins, though. I would actually be interested in possibly purchasing some of the silver proofs from the 60's eventually. I'd have to add a blank page somewhere.

First page is almost complete. Missing those special 1964 coins.

Second page is getting there. I found these all in circulation.

These too.

Bought these. Funny how much different the strike looks.

This was purchased when I bought a mint set. It's quite lonely all by itself lol

The Kennedy half dollar (and halves in general) are pretty cool coins. I like the size of them and it feels quite nice squeezing them into the ports, unlike a lot of smaller coins.

That said, I wish I could find more halves around easily. I would request my credit union to order me a box, but uh, 500 dollars is a lot of money!

Same here - And for me, I have the distinction of having the Kennedy family name as well. From my Grandfather Edward T. Kennedy. (yes - from the New England area)

Nice progress so far! Kennedy halves might be my favorite modern series to collect. I have fond memories of searching for them and filling Littleton coin folders in the very early days of my numismatic journey.
