I recently acquired this 1924 SLQ. It has deeply toned Obverse and the reverse has the same except in the middle. It appears to be uncirculated. Any thoughts on what to do with it? My intention is to sell it. Options are....
1. Nothing , sell as is
2. attempt to dip it (acetone or something else to remove some of the toning)
3. Send it to NGC for conservation and see what they can do with it.
What does everyone think?

I say sell it as is... Someone will like this toning... (eye of the beholder).

Removing the toning most likely will not have a good outcome. It will end up with pitting and dead luster. Best bet is to leave it alone. Somebody will want it as is.

Agree with leaving it alone. The toning is pretty deep, and there is probably no original surface underneath it. And the cost of NGC conservation and grading would not make sense for a coin of this value.

Coin really lacks eye appeal because of the toning in my opinion but I agree with leaving it alone. I'd like to see a close up of the head detail to see if it qualifies for FH. Looks very close to FH but I can't see the three leaves.

I agree, sell as is. You start messing with it and you may cause damage and if you spend money by sending it in for conserving you will eat through your profits before you even have them in your hand.

Acetone has no effect on toning.

That said, I like the coin as is. It may look ugly to some, but to my eye
it has that undefinable quality called 'character'.
SLQ is a tough series in upper grades. Quote me a take-it-home price.

I think it's beautiful!
I wouldn't touch the toning.

Very nice coin. The toning is extremely dark, which unfortunately, may hide some issues. On the other hand, properly conserved, it MAY be a very nice looking coin.
If you are not in too deep with the coin already, I would take a shot and send it to NGC and conserve.

Toning is at worst neutral on this one and may actually carry a premium due to the reverse being rather striking. Slab it as is and you'll get full price, or possibly more, when you sell it. I like the coin. Increasing collectors like original toning not "blast white".
