I was taking some time today to update my collection spreadsheets, specifically to add the recently-released Uncirculated 2025 ASE. I realized I needed to add placeholders for all the other 2025 options. After doing so, I did the math. If one were to collect all the options laid out below, that would be nine individual ASEs. That beats 2022's eight offerings by one. And that's if they don't sneak yet more ASEs into the 2025 schedule!

(W) Bullion
W Proof
(P) Bullion Eagle Privy
W Uncirculated
W 250th US Army Privy Proof
W Laser Beam Privy
S Proof
P 250th US Marine Corps Privy Proof
S 250th US Navy Privy Proof

Nine ASEs is 3/4 of a CAPS album page. I'm going to have to order a new album to handle all these darn things. . Also, the West Point mint has a very busy ASE year with five offerings!

A quick estimate of funds needed for one of each (raw) is about $750. As prices rise on everything and salaries generally aren't rising in suit, this combined with such market oversaturation is sure to drive some collectors from the ASE program. I get that many collectors aren't interested in getting (at least) one of each but we are out there.

Too many to keep up with, I just stick mostly with filling the Dansco album with bullion coins.

I assume you mean a little higher?
Better than the Star Privy! I don't know what they were thinking. IMHO they could have a second edition/attempt at the Star Privy, putting it on it's proper location.

It almost like the designers of these have no idea of what collectors appreciate.

Personally, I like consistency

All they privy marks should be in the same location as V75

Happy to be of service!

I'm in for this year and almost certainly 2026, due to the (I can only imagine) sheer insanity of the 40th ASE anniversary AND the semiquincentennial combined. After that, and a sure-to-be-drained bank account, I may have to exit stage left. In fact it may be the perfect time to quit.
