I originally wasn't looking to pick up any coins at this year's show (planning to focus more on notes this time around), but I ended up bringing a whole bunch of junk silver dimes that inherited from my father nearly a decade ago (over $360 in face value) and was able to trade them to a coin dealer for just under 26x face value. I already had cash budgeted for purchasing notes (which I will describe in a separate thread), but the proceeds from the sale of the junk silver let me purchase a couple of extra special coins that I otherwise wouldn't have dreamed of purchasing. First up was an upgrade to my existing MS63 1921 Peace dollar. I had been planning on upgrading this for awhile, but I never thought I would ever get this much of an upgrade: Next up is what is now officially the earliest dollar in my collection: [I have a separate thread on all the notes I picked up at Today's Haul From The 2025 Baystate Coin Show] Edited by barryg 07/25/2025 7:01 pm

Congrats on your purchases. I love the flowing hair, but I've never been a big fan of Peace dollars. I've made probably 10 shows this year, and have only managed to bring home two coins.

Thanks, everyone! And in other news, it took a little bit of effort, but I finally managed to fit my new dollar into my virtual 7070 album:

[As always, brackets indicate coins that are not included in the physical 7070 album.]

I like that you can see the prongs of the ngc holder in the image of the draped bust dollar in your virtual album. Best of both worlds if you can keep the coin in the holder and display it in a virtual album. Seems like the direction that these things are going to go. Have you thought of displaying the coins in a luxurious velvet tray in a virtual exotic wood cabinet with fancy marquetry?

And, just in case anybody is curious, I discovered that both of these coins are listed with pictures on the NGC site, so I updated the pictures at the top of this thread with those instead of using my own poorer quality images.
