I was given a roll of early woody's and there were some nice ones. This was one of the standout examples. I was surprised upon weighing it to find it was 3.15g with all that wear. The reverse was unusually dull in comparison.

Very nice example! The reverse is also showing severe Die Deterioration to boot.

Nice contrasting colors.
I agree with E&V about the reverse and also think this whole coin is showing signs of Die Deterioration.

I've been told that after WWI the mint wore those dies out minting coins for commerce. Returning Doughboys and all. It is really evident when looking at 1919 & 1918 cents. There are also some stories about freshly minted BU red coins being distributed by the banks back then that already looked like they were well circulated because of the Die Deterioration.

And it looks like this is a great example for including 1920 in that analysis.
