On Jan 20 this will be released by the mint for $95.00 each - I'll get that one and not the $95 dollar ASE in an after market $150 slab. (buy the coin not the slab (remember?)

Quote: (buy the coin not the slab (remember?) I don't think that applies to NEW coins that are graded 69 or 70 because you can't usually tell the difference between the 2 grades. You have to believe the slab in this case.

Quote: You have to believe the slab in this case. Or, you can just ignore the whole grading scam and just have it in ogp and enjoy it that way. And save the grading fees, and buy more coins you don't have graded.

I'm not a fan of multiple anniversary issues; stick to milestones like 25, 50, 100, and so on.
These odd-year anniversary editions just feel like a money grab.

Colorado's 150th anniversary (Sesquicentennial) is in 2026. A Denver eagle would be appropriate.

My how collector's differ...... I appreciate the American Silver Eagles Bullion Series, Many Here are what I call Die-Hards, Whether collecting a sub set, a Full Bullion set, a Full Mint Marked set, Some collect them Both and Some collect whatever portion of this particular series they Choose. Seeing a 40th Anniversary of Any Numismatic type is a Big deal. The 2011 25TH Anniversary 5-Coin sets are Stars, Every coin in that Anniversary set is as Important as the Anniversary itself. The 2011 sets sold for under $200.00. Today being the sets bring Excess of $500.00. I believe sets are Key to Any series, Of course I want to see Other Anniversary sets come out , Especially a 40TH. Who knows if and When this series will continue, I say, Let the good times Roll...... I am Very passionate about Numismatics, Just like Most Everyone Here....

Quote: Sweet Dream line-up Thanks M.D.! The first 3 are alredy confirmed, only time will tell if the Mint is going to make anything specifically for the 40th. I wouldn't mind them using a Privy if it had a definite tie to the history of the ASE like the Heraldic Eagle I used in my fantasy set.
