Good Evening! Need your thoughts, please. I don't see any pushed metal, so I don't believe this to be PMD. At first I was thinking some sort of die damage, but, then wondered if perhaps it could be a rotated die clash. I can not find any other anomalies on the coin. Unfortunately, I am unable to connect to Mad Clashes (my computer tells me: "Bandwidth Limit Exceeded" Thanks! Added the new pics here, too. Edited by snailking1 10/31/2025 10:15 pm

No idea! With that much mag needed to see it, and nothing else wrong with the coin, it's hard to say what exactly that is.

You are looking WAY to close to find minor imperfections that coins have always had (and are ignored by the hobby). The internet has people wrongly thinking a microscope is the first essential thing to buy for looking at coins. Here are the facts: Until you have experience enough to know how to filter out the ton of ignored imperfections, using a microscope will bring you a lot of dead ends and frustrations. Get some rolls of coins form the bank. Sort by date and mint mark. Use varietyvista.com listings to go through your coins date by date and learn what is actually collectable.

Earle42 I found it with a loop I only use the microscope to look at things I question, and to get pictures. While I understand your point - I have been learning that myself - I don't know that I agree with your assessment of this "anomaly" And I do got to VV, Brians, CC, MadClash, etc, as well as looking at most of the posts here to learn. Which Is why I posted and asked the question regarding this coin. It may not be "collectible" but I am still curious as to what caused it. I may look too hard sometimes, but, I do also have 6 submission credits for DDR's on Brians in my 8 months I've been doing this.

Quote: Feeder Finger Damage? That could only happen if the obverse die was being used as the anvil die. (the bottom one in the minting machine)

Quote: I am unable to connect to Mad Clashes No need to log into MDC, just take another nickel (viewing the reverse) and slowly rotate and see if anything lines up. Good luck
