What the internet mostly forgets to inform people is that several forms of doubling on coins is common. The form of doubling made by a doubled die is not. Look into Machine Doubling, Die Deterioration Doubling, split plate doubling and others at error-ref.com

If you have a doubled die (the only kind of doubling that is collectable), then you will find it listed at varietyvisat.com or doubleddie.com. If you do not find a match, then you have one of the common forms mentioned.

And since the die is the thing that makes the doubled die coins, every doubled die coin hs to be exactly identical to every other one made by theat die. So when comparing, know that "close" means it's not a match.

Thanks for the information. I usually do go on vista or copper coins. I guess if it's too good to be true it usually is. Haha

Yes, Die Deterioration issue--note the obverse Ridge Ring. And, a minor obverse misaligned die. In all, a fun curiosity.
