Struck on a planchet derived from dime stock. Dime stock quarters are known from many years, including 1965, 1966, and 1967.
Error coin writer and researcher.

Outstanding find. You can see that the devices near the rim didn't strike well because there wasn't enough metal and pressure to fill the dies.
Did you notice something unusual about the quarter visually? Or do you just weigh all your quarters?

Thank you all @brandmeister at first I notice the sound. When it clinks agaainst another coin it sounded like a silver coin. Then the weight became obvious so I decided to buy the scale to weigh it.
