Wow! Good job! I'm just getting started with mine. I like the nickels you have, especially the silver Jefferson

Nice looking collection! I really like that 1837 Large Cent.
I have three slots to fill on my 7070 and they match 3 of yours - the 20 cent piece and the Draped Bust and Classic Head large cents. Those are gonna be tough.

Thanks for the comments everyone! Actually, it should be 7 holes since I have a kennedy in place of one of the commemorative. :-P KenKat; yeah, the Seated dollars will be tough, but you should be able to get a decent 20 center for not too much. It's one of those coins that is valued by the type itself, not so much the grade. Barely any difference between F and XF, so you might as well get a high grade one. I'm on the lookout for a nice AU + myself, and it will probably be next on my list.

Yeah, the 20 cent piece is probably next for me also - I am budgeting $200 or so for a nice XF or so.
The two early coppers are gonna take some saving for...

in my opinion the Classic Head Large Cent is the hardest coin in the whole album to find in problem free AU+ condition

Quote: in my opinion the Classic Head Large Cent is the hardest coin in the whole album to find in problem free AU+ condition Bryan, I don't think that is "just" your opinion Bryan. I think that is a stone cold fact. :-) Most of mine will be AU, but I will likely accept a lower grade Classic Head Large cent. A nice XF with a smooth planchet would be perfect. I've been using your type set as a model and "inspiration" for my type set for the last year or so. My favorite one of yours, by far, is the Capped Bust quarter. Very nice toning and strong details. What did it grade? Also, how did you do your photography? Kenkat, if you have your type set photographed, feel free to post it or link to it. I love looking at type sets. :-)

I think you may have seen it in the past: https://goccf.com/t/46258I have added the Seated dollar with Motto since these were taken and at some point need to shoot some new and better pictures.

As far as photography I don't use any thing fancy, just an old 3.2MP JVC camera and set it to macro and with some I used a small table tripod but most I just held it by hand and I have one desk lamp with a 60 watt reveal bulb in it. Nothing fancy at all and no extra macro lenses or anything like that. I think I paid like 26 bucks for the JVC camera a few years ago (before I even started collecting coins regularly and I have a higher MP camera that I have tried to use at times but the JVC always seems to be the one I go back to because its so easy to use

Thanks Bryan! I think my quarter is close to yours as far as detail is concerned, but mine's nowhere near as nice in the overall eye appeal department. I bet that was a tough one to crack out, yeah?

I should really start working on this set. It is such a beautiful and hard to obtain set. Well done!
