Hello all:

I will bother you one more time with another 'double'.

Hopefully the pic is okay.

Anyway, it's a 1964 proof Roosevelt dime. I do not find anything about errors on the proof of this year.

Again, most prominently on the left side of the flame, far left cluster of leaves (middle one), and bottom of stem (same one on left). Lightly on the letters.

Any thoughts on this one?

I don't know; that one looks very interesting to me! Let's wait for the experts to chime in, but I don't think it is Machine Doubling.

First off, your no bother we are all here to learn. I am no pro, but I see a shelf like appearance that makes me say it's a Machine Doubling but we should wait for the pros. You should check Machine Doubling vs Hub doubling by coppercoins in this forum.

Thanks for your input. I don't have enough experience with doubling. I've read all about them
online, but don't have any firsthand experience or knowledge.

I read that article Machine/Hub! Very informative. I think I need to invest in a stronger loupe or a better pair of eyes.

It's classic Machine Doubling. Evidence is especially telling on the STA of STATES. Note how there is no notching, the 'doubling' robs the normal size of the letters, and it is flattened down. ANY doubling that looks like it was flattened down to form its shape is Machine Doubling. True hub doubling LOOKS raised, not flattened.
