Do people find rolls of these available at banks? If so, do they tend to have a good mix of dates? I know the new native american reverse isn't readily available at banks (and some other years weren't circulated) but do most banks seem to carry rolls of any Sac dollars? I figured they would have plenty of Presidential dollar rolls, but I was thinking about trying to roll hunt for a decent cirulated set of Sacagaweas. I appreciate any input.

I know that a few banks have had Sac's.....but most don't order them like that.....they can't. They just can order "dollar coins" and they might be mixed....and they might not be. They might have Suzy B's, they might have old Sac's, they might have new Sac's.....but most likely they'll be all Presidential dollars. If you "hunt" at different banks, however, sometimes customers will bring in "mixes" of dollar coins, and you can score those "bank wrapped". I've done this more than once.....but the "condition" of these coins (Sacs) were always REALLY bad !.....Pres. dollars too. Suzy B's were okay.....but nothing more than "circulated face value" worth coins. With the "Direct Ship" from the Mint.....these "new" ones actually could start turning up too...

I don't think you will get very far roll hunting for this set. We tried and only found 7 of the 22 pd mints. We only did spare rolls at the bank,no boxes. 2000pd,2001pd,2005d,2009d,2010d I think. Had to buy the rest at a coin show. Most were not released into circulation.

That is kind of what I was thinking. Thanks for the input. I guess I will have to stick to trading on here or buying at a dealer/show.

Since the mint is offering the current year via the Direct Ship program, and people are purchasing them that way (myself included), I would think that they would soon be showing up at the banks in the boxes along with all the other random dollars. I agree that the condition of them might not be great, but I'll bet you start finding them.

Most of what I've seen are kinda nasty looking. They tend to get that way pretty quick it seems.

So what are AU to low MS sacagaweas (2000-2008) each going for? I am still debating on putting together this set. I have Ikes, SBAs, Pres. dollars, so I might just go ahead and put sacs together too since it has only been around since 2000 and shouldn't be too costly.

I've rolled searched dollars a lot. Before the Presidential series started, the roll would be mixed SBA and SAC and you could occasionally score a proof SAC or a SAC that was not intended for circulation- I've scored 2002, 2003, 2004. But now that the Presidential series is running and heavily minted, the mixed dollar rolls are >90% Presidential dollars, making the searching for SACs and SBA abysmal now.

Unc Sac's from the circulation years can sometimes be found in rolls... For the NIFC's I think they go for about $2.50-$3.50 each, but I haven't checked in a while...

Coinsearcher83 is correct. I just finished this set at a coin show and $2-4 was the cost of most of the nifc's. The sellers said they were going up in price lately but that may or may not have been a selling ploy.

Seems like what I was thinking, I thought closer to $2 sounded right. I doubt they are going up in value too much with all of the stash they have of them just sitting in the vaults.
