I'd grade it VF+ (maybe 25, mayyyybe 30 though thats pushing it) because of the full strong liberty + shield and overall drapery strength. These often don't get F-15 until a lot of liberty is gone because they can differ with strike a lot (though if its a strongly struck coin one without much liberty will often get VG-10)

I'd put that in the VF-20 or so range. Maybe cleaned a long time ago and retoned, although that could just be the lighting. I like those old Seated halves! |

Just me being impartial:
I agree with a VF-35. The strong Liberty gives it to this one, for me. Minimal and even wear on the wings on the reverse agree with me, I think!

At first sight, my thoughts were VF-20. Not enough detail on the obverse to bring it up beyond that. The wear in the eagles' feathers will also prevent mugh of a higher grade. Great looking coin though, especially after 148 years.

I feel a 25. The chest and hair seem a little too blended for 30 to me.
Also, that's a really cool broken 6!

I think VF-30 details, with a definite cleaning somewhere in it's history.
I've never heard of a Broken 6 variety but it does appear to have something going on with that digit. Can someone confirm whether this is a recognized variety?
There are 3 different mintmark sizes for this date as I recall. This looks like the smallest MM type.

Looks like WB-103, small wide "broken" mintmark
Only three Wiley-Bugert varieties are listed, all pertaining to the mintmark
