OK what do you do with dateless buffaloes?
I tried the nic-a-date and the vinegar things but neither brought out the date.
So I'm left with a coin that has 5 cent value maybe 20 cents numismatic

If I turn it into a pendant have I ruined it or have I given it new life?
Its boring offshore when everything is working fine...

I would say in this case you gave it new life.

Otherwise, he would have been thrown into a dateless pile and never get any attention!
Rest in Peace

I'd say that you turned something worth about a nickel into a work of art worth at least ... well, put it up for auction somewhere, and we'll find out!

A booth at a local flea market here has a couple of those that he wants about $20 a piece for.

Nice job

I believe you are giving these coins new meanings and purposes. How do you cut out the fields like that?

Is SGS still in business? You should send that one off to get slabbed. I bet it comes back Gem Brilliant Uncirculated but may make only MS-62 by their strict grading standards.
Rest in Peace

Looks like those cut-out pendants go for $12-$14! Nice ROI. http://www.etsy.com/listing/6118728...-cutout-coin
