I would just start a new, and post one at a time. The load time kills most of us, and as far as condition there are many higher value VAM's that the top grade is EX or so so I would not really worry about that. If a coin is to worn to VAM we will let you know, and in time you will get it. Russ

Yeah, I have plenty of bandwidth to download the pics but Chrome chokes on having them all onscreen at once. It's using half a Gigabyte of RAM to display this page. Tomten, that first coin is in the process of being eaten alive by PVC byproducts. I strongly urge you to research the use of acetone - there is plenty of information on this forum regarding it - and get that coin into an acetone bath. Judging from the upper part of the obverse, I suspect permanent damage has already been done. An ultimate posting size of roughly 1000px diameter is ideal for posting; many hosts will allow images of such size. If you scale them down in the Gimp or equivalent, crop to just the coin and then save at 75-80% JPG Quality, you'll have easily-loaded images of ample size for evaluation. The images you've posted are much larger than they need to be for your desired advice; if there are questions about specific details, more resolution can be called forth in a cropped image. With that said, I do not see any value-added varieties among these coins. The rim crumbling on the 1889-O is interesting, and might make it more attractive to a potential buyer who is interested in such features, but won't drive the price up a whole lot. We'll be happy to help attribute these coins. I've taken the liberty of downloading them locally; the Gimp has a far easier time with them than my browser does.

In general, I see nothing significant among these coins, other than they are of common strikes and no real oddities to be worth more than melt or the average price for the years, the 89-0 is probably worth more than the others, but in those conditions we are not talking about a lot of money.... Still the story..! How I wish I could search the every corner and floor board! "THERE BE TREASURE MATIES " to find all those coins!! , and it takes so much time to figure them out..and catalogue them all, my hats off to you.....I must say you take fabulous pictures even if they are larger than needed...unless there are questions on the fine points of the coins..........Still we welcome your questions......G

I can open this page with no problem, (of course there are no pictures on it). If there were pictures that I could open, I would give attribution a try myself....of course I would surely need some help Gene (hint, hint)....Is there a way that someone who can open page 1 without computer freezing copy, resize, and paste them here? It might be fun, and I might learn something as well....Are you game Gene?

Quote: I must say you take fabulous pictures even if they are larger than needed As near as I can tell, they're about 12MP pics, posted at the original size - the same size as my own originals, with less....restraint. On one level, I enjoy this. It's kinda fun to watch my browser go, " Whut?"

great work Dave!....As common as these are, I still love to dream.......I wanted to point out one small thing, that is over lighted on the 89-0.....Above the REVERSE....states is a mark?/break really close to VAM 23A.....as beaten up as the reverse is, I still like to dream...and a close up of STATES without the over lighting, could be enough to see if there is a radial break....which below is beaten up to bad to see the other features of this VAM.....

Thanks very, very much Dave...You are a genius.
No, Gene is not me....and I am not Roger either....we are three separate entities, although I would not mind trading places for a day or so, just to see what it is like.

The VAM 23A break is radical; radial breaks on Morgans are stupid rare in both variety and quantity known of each - that is a truly catastrophic failure of the die. 23A is R6 in the book, and I believe the rarity is underestimated at that. The full-size pics, massaged for light levels and clarity, do not hint at that radial crack.

I'm too tired to start on this now Gene, but I'll post my guesses tomorrow sometime, and you (and whoever else) can correct and teach me in my errors....Thanks again Dave.
