No, the coin is not bent.

I'm pretty sure its not a stain.

I can see a very slight elevation of the area in question when I hold the coin in my hand and look straight down from the date to liberty.

Ive seen some like that, most likely gas bubble. The planchets were badly cleaned and roughly handled so bubbles stick on em during the plating process.

My guess is deteriorated die or a major plating issue. I have seen them before and through them into the return pile.

That's pretty much exactly what that is...it's Die Deterioration in a big way. Not really worth anything - in fact, I consider them worth less than the regular coins because I think they's uuglee.
