Engraver error? Who can see the difference... I'll post some closeups soon. They are both BU. Maybe a "side by side" pic would best here...

Nobody huh.... Well, it's getting late I guess. There are no hits in or around the ear. Watch I did all of this work for something that's already so common....lol

The picture on the left side is the normal one. I looked through over 100, they all look like this. Then there is this one with the outline of the ear extending around a lot further....

Thanks for that I did not see that and probably would not have if you did not point it out.

Are these 1994?

I have a couple 1994's that these remind me of. I will have to get mine out and post some pics. Back when I found them - 1994 - I showed them to a couple dealers and they told me they were different die varieties. However, I am not sure yours are exactly like the ones I found. And, until recent, I did not know how much people are now into collecting varieties.

Die states can make a big difference in showing detail of a coin.

Supposedly there is a 2007 "doubled Ear" variety, different than the 2006 one.

The outline of the ear is completely different. If you start at the lope and go up to the left following the outline of the ear, one coins outline stops at 10:00 while the other at 12:00. There isn't a hit here.

Sorry, but I just don't see much difference. I see what you are saying, but I would chalk it up to a strike difference.
