So for those of you who had been following, I've been saving and selling to purchase a big coin. Well, it finally arrived. I believe it to be an S-9, and the surfaces are pristine for how much circulation it has seen. Other than some minor marks, and occasional grime. The "streaks" on the obverse and reverse are scratches on the slab(the coin has no scratches). I'm really bad at photographing through the PCGS slab, so my pics aren't too hot, but this coin has the perfect "circ" look for my set! These were the best pics I could get so far, but I will work on better ones. ENJOY! Edited by johnny54321 09/28/2011 5:20 pm

Very nice cent with lots of detail remaining. You must be so excited to be able to add this coin to your collection. Ed ANA LM-3175

Incredible coin John. Looks much better than the ebay pic! I'm glad it arrived safe! I don't see the dot above the N. S-9?

A year ago I had never even heard of Flying Eagles. Now I love them. I have just one and it is quite worn but I think they are all special. Your's is gorgeous. Enjoy! and thanks for sharing.

Thanks! I'm very stoked! Dave, there is a dot below the top left serif of the "N" in "CENT", so it is most likely an S-9(though it could be one of the rare S-5/6/7, but doubtful). I expected it to be a 9, so I'm fine with it. May trade for a S-3 someday, but it's a great fit for now. It sure doesn't look like a proof. :-)

that's a great coin. That's one on my "need, but will probably never fill" list.

Great pickup on a coin that you could end up keeping for a LONG time. Congrats. She's a beauty.
