You might want to hang on to that 3rd set. Prices for raw sets are pretty weak right now...running from $168-180

Great article from Louis, if the Mint releases final mintage numbers for the SF set in November it should make for an interesting month. I agree that PCGS FS 70 sets should command a nice premium going forward, but how ironic would it be if sealed NON FS sets go for much more than FS eligible sets because of the difference in quality? http://www.coinweek.com/featured-ne...are-on-fire/

I've read enough responses to indicate IMHO later shipments did not show noticeably higher QC.

Clint I returned my last 2 sets, I was charged another 300.00 with out getting the credit first, after having a CS Supv Justify their mistake, I was told to recall in the AM to expedite my forgotten credit, They did not forget to charge my card though.... I hope the QC is better that I have seen, I actually wonder IF the mint ever did make more coins, as the shipping dates would suggest.!!!! What Ever....

Do you really think there will be 20 - 30k sets returned? That would be about 10%. I would bet that actual returns would be far smaller than that (maybe 2 or 3%). I think most people getting them are going to keep what they got, instead of going through the hassle of returning them. There may be more cancelled orders than returns. I doubt that returned sets are sent back out. That would not be good business (but this is the government we are talking about).

Everything is for sale for the right price. I have 3 total pcgs FS sets, 1 of the red labels signed, 1 of the uni-slab thing, and 1 reg FS labeled. I also have a couple that are sealed in the box that are FS eligible I believe.
Teach,
Shoot me an email I love making new contact on CCF. This is one of the best resources I have found on coins in my several years of collecting.

Received my " replacement sets" and these are what I should of received in the first place, very, very sweet!!!!!
I have found in the Numismatic world, some coins from the release are hot, some get real hot, then slowly level off to a more reasonable premium.
While some coins start slowly, rise slowly and drop off to a reasonable premium.
While other coins start off basically low key, hypeless, and later, in the OGP, are highly sought after.. I would, and always do, hold on to the sets you have obtained,( if you can $$$$ ) as far as price, I do believe this set will become more in demand then it is now!!!!!

I agree with Morgan that the demand will increase in time, theres just far to many for sale right now. The one thing thatll hold back these sets a bit is a good amount of them were bought to be flipped so it may be a while untill the supply starts to dry up

I agree with this assessment and was thinking this very thing when I got mine. I wanted them for investment so in a couple of years I could use the earnings to get other coins I wanted. I fgured the 2006 set went up to 300.00+ so this one also probably will. And I also think that if they make this a yearly production, these still might gain in value as the years go by. If they make a gazillion 2013, 2014, 2015 RPs etc., b/c this design is generally seen as one of the most beautiful ever made, I think their appeal as a set may also make them increase in value as more and more people se them. I know people who were not aware of the ASE RPs that have seen mine have been impressed by the beauty of these even though these people are not numismatists.

Quote: First Strike PCGS sets are over $500 again. Keep in mind that ebay is populated by imbeciles. Their actions are unpredictable and occasionally they like to pay way too much for stuff. For example, a couple of people just spent $400 for Hawaii Volcanoes in NGC SP70 http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI....321000838406At that time that, very same ebay seller was selling these for @280 on his own website (they are now $285). http://jmrcoins.com/2012-Hawaii-Vol...oin-5632.htmSince both options allow PayPal payment and both include OGP and free shipping, you have to conclude that the buyer is either an idiot or insane.
