Only through an authorized pcgs dealer. You can pay $150 for ngc and get $150 in credit with them to pay for your orger if you send in all 6 coins

If you are looking to flip these relatively quickly, grading makes sense. I plan to keep my three sets, I figure they will be worth good money in 20 years, whether graded or in OGP.

Quote: Hey fox, with sending in opg, did you just send in the folding inserts or the booklet and sleeve as well? I just sent in the whole shabang (for the six I wanted the medals graded..the rest went in capsules)...they will send it all back...but I still can't figure why they needed any of the OGP... They are now "scheduled for grading" so this week should be THE week

Ya, what fox said reno. This isn't your average coin. Plus, to get the first strike label you have to get them in the mail by tomorrow or Thursday at the latest for ngc because it has to be in their hands by the 31st. With pcgs (which is double the price per coin) it has to be postmarked by the 31st.

I certainly made a mistake buying 5 MOD sets, which have turned out to be very disappointing as far as resale for raw, OGP sets go. I wanted to try this just once- investing for a quick flip, but I missed the boat. It was just a waste of time. I should have been all over this set, even though I find the Presidential dollars to be atrociously awful, even in RP format. I don't see myself taking a gamble on modern U.S. Mint products again, unless they do something like this- producing a set that is stupid limited (under 20,000). I really like the silver medal, though.

Yeah this was my second time trying to "flip" and my second ever presale. Luckily though this has been the best winner out of the two (first was the Wedge Tailed eagles, missed out last year on the PR70's, this year got em but no one wants them :/ ) and this has definitely covered the expenses/losses from both. With the Ike and forward, though I will only be able to sell one to pay for the other and then a little extra, but that is perfectly fine with me getting one for free! And I agree with you Darth, the medals are actually pretty sweet too (and in better condition than the RPs).

They're certainly not as rare as these RP dollars, but the set still contains two dimes that are keys to the series. I think the MOD sets are short and long term winners.

This is my first mint purchase. I saw the fervor 10 mins before it went on sale and my spidey senses were tingling which rarely lead me astray. I don't collect pres dollars, don't even really care one bit about them, but I felt something was up with this and pounced

This is the coin I'm considering submitting. As it will cost nearly $150 to submit it, in my opinion, it isn't worth it if it comes back a 69. What do you think. Do I have a chance at 70 for this one?

https://goccf.com/t/233326&whichpage=44#1971651This was not my first attempt at flipping what I believed to be a sure thing. I unfortunately had the funds just not enough people to order them for me. Ended up with 3 boxes of 5. After opening one box I found my error strike through and sold the rest for a nice profit and an error to keep in my collection. Sometimes it's great to follow that gut feeling and jump in with both feet, some are winners and some are losers. I'm savin up to make a big run on the 30th anniversary ASE's in 2016. SHHHHHH

I've sold two sets on ebay. After the ebay and PayPal fees I ended up with a profit of ~$45. Pretty pathetic. That didn't even pay for one set. LOL. For me, that sort of profit isn't even worth the effort. I have one on ebay right now for $99 + free shipping. I'm just going to let the auction end, put it up with the other two sets and pretend that I never bought them. Who knows? Maybe they'll be worth more someday. Hey, at least some of the money went to the March of Dimes Foundation. I can feel good about that at least.
