and the (M) for that matter, obviously the (U) is unc. If the (M) is matte, then that is what I have. I have seen proofs listed on ebay and they don't look like mine. mine looks more unc than proof due to the matte finish |

ratman4762- Honestly, I really don't know what the FM refers to either. That is just how it is listed in the Standard Catalog.

Which leads me to believe that the (M) is matte finish since I remember looking it up years ago and finding out what the mintage was before purchasing. ( I had great trust in this dealer and I asked him how he knew it wasn't juct an Unc, and remember him telling me that I would be better off if it turned out being Unc because the mintage was even lower!)

I think that the lowest mint I have is a 1955 s Lincoln Cent. I know, not that uncommon, but I'm a newbie to coin collecting, and that cent isn't so common compared to others within its range. I have many ASE's, but I have no idea what the mint numbers are on those. |

1994 matte Jefferson nickel in the coin and currency set, mine is a single slabbed by NGC; mintage around 600,000 I think so I am not even in the same league as u guys! |

I think my lowest mintage coin would be the high leaf 2004 wisconsin coin. I was on a low budget and it's in au55 condition.

My rarest ever...a Lesher Referendum dollar, Zerbe 2, for A. B. Bumstead, serial number 791. It's a 'good for' store card from the Pike's Peak area. $1.25 in trade. The coin is octagonal and very rare. Estimated mintage on this design was 150, but the serial numbers punched into each individual coin makes each piece with a serial number unique. Unfortunately I sold the coin for less than it was worth in 1988, and this crappy photo is all I have to remember it by:  I also have a number of Lincoln Cent die varieties for which there are fewer than five known to exist...but by actual mintage most are at least int he tens of thousands. Just nobody knows where the rest are. Edited by coppercoins
