divesww New Member United States 9 Posts	Posted 11/29/2022 10:59 am I would like your opinions on the 1859 and 1863 Indian Head cents I have pictured. Also would appreciate any opinions on whether the scratches on the 1863 would be considered cleaning or if the Rim Fin on the 1859 negatively affects its value. Thanks Report this Post to the Staff

Coinfrog Bedrock of the Community United States 75006 Posts	Posted 11/29/2022 11:09 am I'd say AU-55 on the 1859, but obverse rim scrapes K2-K4 detract. I wouldn't consider the Rim Fin an issue. I'd say MS details (obverse wiped or cleaned) on the 1863. Report this Post to the Staff

drmenard Valued Member United States 51 Posts	Posted 11/30/2022 10:01 pm I don't know much about Indian Heads but something just don't look right to me on the 1863. Looks too boldly struck and the 1 in the date is almost touching the neck. I looked at coinfacts and no dates looked that close. I have seen some nice looking indian heads made in China.
