I know some are going to be jealous because statistically it shouldn't have happened yet. Was roll hunting my 26th box today and guess which one decided to show his not so shiney but not in that bad of shape head? Mr. 1950D! Almost as crazy as when the 50D showed up was how the 38S and 39D showed up... in the same roll in one of the first boxes. I could not believe it. This is my second roll hunted Jefferson set, but I cheated on the first one and traded 20 War Nickels (found in rolls, that;s how I justified it)for a BU example. I have no idea how many boxes that set took.. was well over a hundred before th 38's and 39's showed up. I think the last one I was waiting on was the 55P Anyway... PICS OF THE NEW SET!

Wow! Way to go! Roll searching is difficult, but very rewarding when you accomplish something like this! Anyone can buy your way into a set, but finding them from circulation? Wow! I'm very impressed!

Wow ... Congratulations! Count me amongst the green with envy as this circulated set has been a quest for me since Feb 2008 ... and to date I have searched 259,200 circulated Jefferson ... that's 129+ boxes ... And I still need two Jefferson to complete the deal ... 1938-S and 1943-D. Many sincere congratulations on your accomplishment ... you now join a select group of CCF members who have completed the Jefferson set from circulation rolls. Hoping to join the party some day. Technically... I'm guessing this set took around 150-175 boxes, since I never found the 50D un the first set but traded for it. I think its weird how some people find things and others don't. I've only pulled 1 Buffalo the entire time I've been doing this, but I haven't had any trouble finding any of the War Nickels. I know I've pulled at least 3 complete sets. I used to pull on average 3 wars from every box, those numbers have seriouslly dropped in the last year or so though. I also know for a fact I've only seen two 1955 P's other people haven't found that one as scarce as I have If I do this again, I'm making a promise to myself to keep better records.

Way to go! I was just telling my Fiance that 50-d is one of only a few coins that I haven't pulled from circulation yet. Looks like I will give it a go and see how I do.
Congrats!

Congrats.
It always make you feel better when you "earn" something rather than just going out and buying it.
