Well, like real estate - value is based on location, location, location. Coins value is based on condition, condition, condition.

If they are all common lower grade coins, you can figure the value by determining the silver content of all the coins added up and calculate the value from there. Content for each coin is listed in the Red Book. Then consider whoever you sell it to will take a percentage for profit.

Repeating what was already stated ... if average circulated condition than these coins are worth (minimum) the value of the silver they contain.

Hopeful that you were not expecting us to do the simple math for you ...

Look up today's silver spot price and multiply by the total silver weight = value.

If there are higher MS coins than they individually will be worth above that value.

Let us know what you come up with.

About $220-230 in melt so figure someone would offer $200

you can use simple iphone apps or websites like (124) Not Allowed - Auto-Removed to add it all up in seconds

The 1939 British six pence is 50% silver. 0.0455 ounces of silver. Unless it's in EF or better condition it's only worth bullion value.

I usually hold onto any 6 pence that I come across. I give them to some European families I know. They give them away on certain festive occasions. nlp
