Paying just under $1000 I think you did ... OK A quick search on ebay, shows sets similar to yours selling $1000 to $1200 The fist page is where all the money coins are. 1921 D, 1921, 1921 S The 1916's. Other coins on the first page gain a lot of value when they are in the higher grades. Hard to tell with out close up pictures, your first page looks like most coins are in the G/VG grade range. Still it is nice to have a complete set of Walking Liberty half dollars.

I have stored sets in those Dansco Albums for many years and had no problem with excessive toning. I think you'll find most of the forum members like them. Great set and a nice pickup. The 38D is also a more valuable date, not just the front page coins listed above.

I'm glad you have a complete set. An album looks very nice when every hole is full!! I also think you did alright price wise. Now, I believe your collection is worth what you paid, if not a touch more. I also agree with Dansco Albums being about as neutral to coin corrosion/toning as you can get, so you should be fine in this aspect. Your key coins, with a only a quick glance, all appear around a G-4/6 grade. That should help you determine what they might be worth.

Awesome! Btw, what are the albums that cause that intense rainbowing? I've always wondered

It's a great set.
My OCD says you need to get all the coins straightened back out in the album so all of the dates are oriented to the bottom where they belong!
And whether you buy a complete set or buy them one at a time, you are still buying them. No one is completing this set from circulation. So, you can make it "your" set by upgrading, etc.

Ya, I'm thinking of upgrading the keys to au/xf but I'm leary having them raw in an album... I'm still more of an investment collector but the winds might be a change'n

Greattttttttttt set. Nice going. However, one thing I really hate about Dansco, that last page full of blanks. Just can't figure out why Dansco can't figure out how many slots it takes to make an Album. I too filled a set. Now you too will have to start upgrading one coin at a time.

Very nice set of Walkers! As already mentioned, time to start upgrading and what I'm doing (and I'm not even complete) is rotating duplicate coins to old Library of Coins albums. Nothing looks better than classic coins in a classic album.

Quote: The 38D is also a more valuable date, I was just giving general coins to watch for. But the 38D is a curious coin, Yes it is a better date. But it is one of those coins can be bought at less then most price guides list price. If your looking XF grade or better, all the 1919's are good and the coins from 1923 S through 1933 S, will have some good price tags.
