@judy, I'm going to recommend to the mods that they move your post over to modern US coins so that those folks can weigh in. there are some specific mint errors that can raise the value of a coin and they should be able to tell you more. in the meanwhile, you should consider trying to take better pics so that the small details are more visible. also, you'll find that most folks will want to see pics of both the front and back of the coin as both sides may yield clues.

I agree with spence. With the current photos, it's difficult to fully see the details of the coin. Can you please post a better picture? Oh, and

Judy... Yeah, we need obverse and reverse pics, and a bit closer for details. Parklane ....is that quoting Gomer on the Andy Griffith show ? -- Or the movie that Gomer "thought" he was quoting and Andy pointed out it was inaccurate. ...

Learning to take .. And posting good pictures also a learning curve.
From the angle you have the reverse, it does look like something Is not normal.
As posted above, having a pictures that shows all the details, makes it easier to give opinions.
In most cases having a picture straight on vs at a angle is best.

JJ , are you saying you see errors on this coin or just circulation problems . When you figure out how to post obverse and reverse of a coin then we'll need that in your future threads .

Just as cars suffer more damage while they are driven, this coin has suffered a lot during circulation. What is outstanding on it is coin wear. The die that struck it also may have an issue with die wear. That is why some of the devices look so weak. Circulation flattens the devices. A worn die leaves the devices not as sharp. But I don't see anything that would warrant a premium on your coin. Sorry
