Anyone also collect or buy these? This was my first coin purchase while at the Denver Mint this past summer. Didn't really put much thought into it until I got home and started researching it and next thing I knew I had to have the whole set.
Really looking forward to the mints release for the 2016.
If anyone has any pics of theirs being displayed please post. Would like some ideas. Was thinking of just placing them on mini easels.

I get one set a year. It will be interesting to see if they continue to offer this product in 2017 and beyond now that the Presidential dollar series is over.

Oh, and I don't really display mine... they are just in a tote in my safe. But I can take a pic tomorrow.

I just went through my sets and I have 2007, 2008, and 2012-2015. According to my research there were no Annual Uncirculated Dollar sets made from 2009-2011, so my collection is current. Here is a picture of the 2012-2015 sets and then one of the 2012 set open. The 2007 and 2008 sets are in a different format, 3rd pic.

Yeah I just completed the whole set a couple weeks ago after acquiring the (elusive and unfortunately more expensive) 2012 set. Would like to display them but not sure which way I want to go. I'm also curious if they'll continue releasing them after this year. Hopefully they will to make up for the ones that weren't released between 2009-2011. Also hoping for the burnished ASE in this years set to have the same edge lettering as the proofs.

Quote: I'm also curious if they'll continue releasing them after this year. Well, if H.R. 6025 passes ( American Innovation $1 Coin Act), we may yet have more of these over the next few years. Thanks, jbuck and GR58.

I just read about that on another thread. I'll be buying them if they end up releasing them.

We'll this and the burnished ASE are the only two items left with a TBD date on the US mint website. C'mon now!

I too am tempted to get these. My general mantra is once I pick up the big regular issues Mint Set Proof Set Silver Proof Set half modern commemorative both ways both modern silver dollar commemorative both ways Unc and Proof Silver eagle (or at least contemplating most of the time) All I have left that I can think about trying to get is something that coins I don't have in the regular issues. Just to double check- none of these years have a special ASE or dollar you can't get from all the other sources, right? I think so, but now I want to confirm. But even so, I want this set too!

I think because this set was my first ever coin purchase I'm pretty partial to it. Wonder if they'll throw in a Presidential dollar from another year since there's only 3 that were released this year.

That's the way it's been in the past (no coins unique to the set). It does end up being a fairly economical way to get an uncirculated ASE, if the release price is similar to that of years past.
