Not Been Out In Months - So, Yesterday Scored Big Ag -

Yesterday I had yard work to do in prep for winter. Tried to start my zero-turn and it wouldn't fire up! Drat. OK, good excuse to do some dirtfishing - so I hit the 500 acre city park that was brushed out this spring...lots of area opened, giving access to spots not available due to briars and the like. I'd dug a few Barber dimes and mercs here earlier in the year; thought I'd cleaned this area out. This afternoon I first dug a two wheatie spill, then all of a sudden I get a screaming hit with the Etrac, and first thought aluminum can. Raised my coil a foot off the ground and the signal was less, so not a can...dig down about four inches and I see a reeded silver edge! Carefully pulled out the clump of dirt stuck to the coin and took it home to soak. Was hoping for something a bit older, but I'll take it. Also scored a '46 rosie and a bit of clad.
