 hi Recently I bought that banknote on auction. I have a question is it genuine? It's mono colour but the seal and the serial number should be light green. Please help me.

Sorry, but that looks off to me. for example, notice how the 7 on the bottom left seems to be part of the serial number. But truly, the whole thing looks "off" could be just the picture, but that's my thoughts.

One of the serial numbers is 7G64833121G, and the other one is G64833121G....lol
Yeah I understand that the "7" is part of the side numbers, but way too close. Obvious fake, ink is off.

I haven't paid because I knew that something was wrong with that banknote. I just wanted to make sure ;-) thanks for all your answers.

The style of the digits in the serial number is off -- too wide, should be narrower. And the lack of detail in the portrait's forehead feels like a sign, too. Add to those the lack of color, and I'm pretty certain it's fake (without even seeing the back).

The series 1934A $500 bills printed didn't get past an "A" suffix for ANY districts. So any 1934A $500 with a "G" suffix for sure is bogus. Plus, the BEP used green ink for the seal and serial numbers. And, the portrait just doesn't look right. So many red flags on this note. Here is a legitimate example;

When I was MUCH younger I watched Let's Make A Deal with Monty Hall as the host.
From time to time, one of the prizes would be a $500 bill. Those were probably genuine notes, unlike the one you bid on and won.

A photocopy of a real note would look better than this.
