This is one I just got. I can never take pics through the PCGS holders. Luckily, this one has TrueView. I've never used TrueView for this forum. I hope that's ok. I don't think their photos give a good idea of the luster, though. I have, therefore, also included my poor, unfocused photos as they do, at least, capture the luster somewhat.

What do you think?

Wondering what you guys are taking deductions for. Even blown up I don't see any detracting features.

Solid 65, and sniffing at a 66. Early die state with no die chips, cracks, or clashes which are so very common for this date.

In my opinion this early strike is worth more and looks much better than the "average" 65 for this date.

I'd pay more for this one.

MS65 and solid in the grade. A slightly weaker strike and a couple of tiny marks behind the hair in the lower right obverse field will keep it out of 66, at least for me. Die crack from the 1 in the date to the left rim and from the right upper wreath to rim. Hair at head/neck junction shows die file lines/marks expected in high grade EDS coins. Reverse rim at 6:00 has a very minor disturbance.

Overall it is a very beautiful 1869 3cn with loads of eye appeal.

Agree - lower right obverse field has clear issues.

with MS-65, there are some small marks on the obverse but it's a beautiful coin!
