After a discussion on holed coins last week, I thought it would be fun to see your collections of holeys. Here are my two

I stepped in that, didn't I. If you're gonna poke a hole in something, make it interesting. No zincolns...

Glad you took it as a funny. I don't think I have a holed coin. They make me cry.

They make me sad, too. But I appreciate these two coins for what they are. inherited from my grandfather who got them from his father. I can see the beauty in them in spite of the damage.

I was gonna say this should be called "The Cringe and Cry Thread."

I'm not sure If I have any holed coins either (that weren't minted that way).

I do have a couple Vatican coins somewhere but no pictures handy.

Let's get on with the holed coins here before I get my drill out.
Sorry I got this thread off track.

Man, they took poor Ms. Liberty's head off in one of those. Seems this was a pretty common thing to do in the 19th century. Thanks everyone for the comments and pics.

Here is one of mine. Unfortunately, there were plenty from which I could choose.

Thanks for sharing. These coins obviously meant something to someone! Enough to want to keep them and wear them.
