Pictures are more than adequate.

Hard to see any high point wear on either, maybe just the tiniest bit on the reverse crown of the 1908. The issue with that one may be the extensive toning (including what looks to be the tiniest part of a fingerprint), which technically is not supposed to matter in assigning a grade, but in this era of "market" grading might drop it down into the AU range on the basis of "mishandling". Even with these excellent images, the toning inhibits seeing what marks the surfaces may bear.

The other is quite lovely, the largely peripheral toning to my mind being no big deal. The scratch in the field in front of Edward's crown seems to be the worst thing about it, with just enough other small marks that maybe it gets dragged down to. like, MS64.

But, nitpicking aside, these are very, very nice examples. Thanks for sharing.

Tough to say for the 1908, as the toning is dark, but definitely MS.

I agree with Lucky Cuss on the 1910, looks MS64.

Thanks all for the grading help and comments! The toning is not as dark as it looks in the photos. On the 1910 it looks more blue and gold than black and brown. The 1908 toning is a bit lighter also.

I need to work on my photography lighting some more.

1910.....ms63, maybe a 64.

1908 looks ms (60 to 62), but it may also get an au55/58.

You look for mint luster in the beard with these.
Sometimes it can be a slightly worn die or a slightly weak strike, that can result in less than perfect beard definition.
If the luster is disturbed on a strong strike with fresh dies, then it can only be slight wear.

Need to look with a 10X loupe for yourself.
Hard to grade from the screen with these otherwise good pictures.
That is why I made the comments above.

Thanks for the grade opinions and especially the comments. The comments are very helpful in learning to grade them myself.

These two coins were in a partial set I bought about 3 years ago. There were only two low grade Victoria's, but the Edward's were complete, and George's only missing three (1912, 1917 and of course 1921). Most of the coins were nice condition. They were in a Whitman album. That probably is the cause of some of the toning.

All of my coins are raw. My budget is limited. I can buy coins or pay TPG's, but not both. I'd rather buy the coins.
