I ended up picking up that roll for $320. Put them in individual flips. Most of them look to be ms-66 - ms-69. Some of them have fingerprints and I know my pawn shop guy did it so they are recent. Do you think a quick acetone dip will get rid of them?

Maybe, shouldn't harm the coin to try that first.
If there's been any reaction of the surface with the fingerprint whatsoever, you'll probably be forced to give it a quick dip. I use "e*Z*est" brand with entirely satisfactory results in such cases.

Sometimes this works if the prints haven't been on for very long. Good luck

If they are prints, yes. If they are toning that has acted on the moisture in the prints to create a print fossil on the coin, then you need acid to remove them.

It is not going to hurt to try.

Once fingerprints show there has been damage. If you give them an acetone bath that will stop them from getting worse. And with luck the damage will be so light that it's not noticeable.
And since they came from a roll I suggest giving the acetone treatment to the ones that don't show fingerprints (yet).

The ones you don't see creep up in the safe and do nastiness.
Kanga gave good advice.

How about some photos? Even with fingerprints they are worth their silver content.

Great price Mike!
I would dip all 20 of them in acetone. Couldn't hurt.

Were there 20 ASE's in the roll? If so, that's a major score getting ASE's for less than spot. That said, I just don't understand why people can't handle coins properly.

Dip them in acetone. It may not remove the fingerprints. If that doesn't work, dip one or two in E-Z-Est or MS70.

It was partially successful. I had 2 with hints of fingerprints that were completely removed after multiple soaks in acetone. Another 3 coins had more fossilized fingerprints. While the prints did fade they weren't completely removed. I think I will give them another bath tomorrow.
Does anyone know what the recommended length of time is for acetone baths? If I go longer than say 5 minutes do I risk damaging the coin?

You can leave it in there for weeks, pure acetone will not hurt the coin. However, if you let the acetone evaporate, whatever it removed from the coin will redeposit back onto it.
