I have no idea, but that is a pretty cool looking error!

Is it some type of Struck Through error? Maybe it's a Dropped Letter error?

An ID other than yummy ? Struck through dropped grease. The impression in the grease of letters "UNU" that is further south , has spread to become larger than the other. Sort of mimics the spread of the terminal digit of a grease mold doubled coin from the late 1990's/2000. Absolutely the best "dropped letter" I have seen !

I think that @E&V nailed it--struck through grease with multiple dropped letters.

I'm leaning toward a planchet flaw.

The UNUM is reversed. What would cause that ? Also the E is not damaged so it appears the UNUM was impressed on a Blank Planchet TWICE, but not from the original die it wouldn't be backwards. ? Dan

But a struck through dropped letters can be mirrored or normal. Looks like this one when it fell out flipped end for end. Also it looks like it was struck through altering the dropped letter debris. Thus the doubled "U".

Interesting. Seem like a block of drop letters and or elements. Not seen one compacted in this fashion before. Thanks, Doug.

Ummmm the letters aren't end for end or reversed. They are correctly oriented, though doubled.

Wish there was a simulation video depicting how this anomaly happens during the minting process. However, your articulation is the next best thing. Thanks again guys.
