Just got back from the bank and started going through rolls of Kennedy halves and came upon a pleasant surprise, a 1962-D Franklin Half  they are still out there!   Edited by Chase007

Awesome find! I pulled a Mercury dime out of pocket change yesterday. Considering I'm near the west coast, I was thrilled. -CH27 Collector of U.S. Coins, Varieties, and Colonial Coinage

I got a 1960 Franklin from my aunt who works at suntrust. She said someone dropped it with their change. They really do circulate!

Yes they do exist, I mostly find 65s through 68s in the rolls.
