Lots of clashed goodness to check out. The luster is a bit dull in these photos, but the "bones" are good. Clean fields, very clean cheek. Average strike. Better photos showing the luster would be helpful, but I would guess that it pulls a 64-65. I'm pretty tough on Morgans, though, because there are so many Uncirculated coins out there to look at. The only very slight area of concern for me is the hair under the ear (run a straight horizontal line from S5 to S10 and you'll see it.)

I'd like some evidence of luster as well, but these pics suggest a 66 easily.

Quote: I'm pretty tough on Morgans I feel like I grew up on the CCF grading forum getting the c**p kicked out of me here for all the bad choices I have made... hopefully I learned something along the way from all you veterans in the game. You will never know how much I appreciate all of you...

That's exactly how I learned as well ;)
CCF didn't pull any punches with some of my newbie buys, overpriced/overgraded/straight-out ugly/you name it, I got it, and the criticism outright hurt at first (I felt like a complete moron and a sucker) but after awhile it made me a much better judge of quality coins vs. the rest of the junk out there.
In my book, though, this one's a winner, and a keeper, and bought at the right price especially if you snuck it into a 66 holder!!

This is either a 66 or a fraud. Better pics of luster, please.

Nice coin, and a solid buy! On the obverse, there are a couple marks in the hair, one above the ear and a second to the left of the first cotton blossom. There is minor chatter to the right of the portrait. The reverse has a few marks in the field near the eagle's right wing (our visual left). The rims are nice. I don't see any heavy hits or scuffing. I adjusted your photos to reduce lighting and sharpen contrast. The fields look nice. The luster is much better when the image is darkened and color is brought up. To me, MS-65 is the floor, and I'm with @Coinfrog on this one, MS-66. The photos aren't quite sharp enough to be sure of the VAM, but some of the markers suggest VAM 2A or 2B sequences, which include several Hit List 40 VAMs. Sharper photos of the mm, clash in front of the neck, and date area to the rim would help with the ID. Well done! You aced the test!

Some would say 65 but I say 64. Luster is disturbed on the eagles breast feathers. A couple of light scuffs in the fields also disturbs the luster in these positions.
Reasons why some would say '65', is that on almost all high points of the design, the luster is undisturbed. That is a good thing. I agree that it is not the sharpest of strikes, but I have seen much worse on high MS++ Morgans.

Personally I could see a 66 but I'd give it a 64. Oh, and don't feel alone NS, the best way to learn is through criticism, they didn't pull any punches either, and I appreciate it.

Solid 65, might go 66 on a Friday afternoon grading session. Nice coin no matter what it grades.

Lack of luster keeping me at 64.

lighting could be hiding the actual luster. technically it looks like a 65 or maybe 66 however, with the dull look of these photos it may have had a light dip. this is one i'd like to see in hand

It will be very interesting to see what this looks like when you receive it. So many games played with photos, lighting on these seem to be muting what is happening on the surfaces. If this one is as the photos suggest, MS-65 minimum.
