I've had this 1945 penny in my collection for years and basically forgot about it. I posted it in a Facebook group and got mixed reactions. What do you all think? Is it actually a lamination error or what kind of error is it?

I'd say it's more of a Struck Through Debris issue.

I agree with a lamination. Note it flows in a straight line to the rim, SW from where we see the affected area above the date.

I agree with member "Errers and Varietys" simply because the raised mark above the date matches almost perfectly with the tip of a wheat stalk on the reverse of every Wheat penny. But the mark on this penny is not lined up with the wheat stalk on the reverse of this penny if that all made sense? What I'm saying is I don't think the wheat stalk on the reverse of this particular penny was punched through to the obverse.

Lamination issue. Agree, one can trace the lamination line through the 9, lower bust, on the way to the rim.

actually, two parallel lines can be seen traveling down past the bust to the rim
