Out of curiosity, I'd like to hear your comments about these four coins. Which one would you prefer to add to your collection and why? All are graded MS68 and the images are courtesy of PCGS. Thanks.

That's a tough one. #4 is out, in my opinion. I guess I'll go with #3. I like a little toning but I like white as well. So I guess #3 is in the middle! I love the designs of all those classic commemoratives!

It's #3 for me too. Too much color on #1 & #4.

For me, a fan of brilliant coins, it would be:

#2, #1,,,,,,,#3,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,#4

The brilliant coin (#2) is the most appealing, the colors on #1 appear to be outstanding in terms of eye appeal, #3 appears to be above average in eye appeal and a reasonable compromise. #4, however, completely lacks eye appeal for me - so much so, in fact, that I can't see me ever wanting to pay money for it.

1 or 2. 3 has some odd luster and surfaces and 4 is bordering environmental damage.

Tarnished coins are not something I collect. B/c knowing me I would put them away and when I got them out later they would be totally black.
So...#2.

3 most, then 2

I love radial toning, but prefer the colors not start dipping into the designs. I wouldn't buy 1 or 4

I'd go with #2. I'd worry that 1 and 4 are artificially toned. 3 is a close second to 2 and I'd be ok with it as well.

#4 is my last choice.
#1 is likely darker in-hand so next to last (unless it appears as imaged then it's second choice).
#3 is second choice (or third per comments above).
#2 would likely be my top choice but remember I am not a huge fan of toning.
