Can we get the weight? Have you done a drop test? Does it sound different from another half (like hollow) Looking like a Magicians coin where the obverse has been set into a milled out reverse...

@mojo. I agree with @greasy that you should confirm that the weight is correct, but I'm not seeing much of a line along the rim of the obv to indicated that this was fabricated. My guess is that it is legit.

Going off of the last and second to last photos. With the last photo, it looks like the coins "field" surface rides above the rim. Second to last photo, looks like a larger gap at the rim above the L when compared to the rim near the motto...That's just how I'm seeing it....

weight is 11.2 To me its sounds just like other Kennedys when dropped, I didn't notice a hollow sound or any difference.

Looks pretty good to me. I'm not seeing any rim problems that couldn't be optical illusions.
I've noticed that coins from 2000, as well as 1999 and 2001 to a lesser degree, seem to suffer from MADs and die wear more often than other dates. Maybe just poor quality control during that period?

Looks legit, especially when looking at the rim (no obvious seam). Given the heavy wear and marks, it seems like it might have been a "casino coin," getting a lot of wear and tear cashing out from the one-armed bandits.

Looks good to me, The condition it's in doesn't leave much for value though, I've seen MS66 slabbed Kennedy half dollars with 90 degree rotations sell in the area of $150+ in this condition it would be hard to get more than a few dollars, but still a neat error, and not all that common, it's worth more than face value at least.
