Without a picture of the reverse, we will just have to take your word for it.

Having two obverses would definitely mean there's no FG...

Looks who is cashing in on these:

Note the price for a normal coin with over polished dies. Think anyone will pay that for it? Looks like they are the ones cashing in for the fees.

Some people won't want to hear this, but PCGS and other companies seem to have no idea what No FG means, and their glaring lack of expertise in this area has cost collectors thousands of dollars. The proof is in the documet in my signature. It uses PCGS website-copied data and pictures with links to everything so you can check the info out for yourself.

PCGS does not even seem to know a No FG 1982 can be told without ever having to flip the coin to the REV b/c the 1 on the OBV of the coin has no base. Its so easy to see and yet "the experts" miss this rookie level knowledge many times as can be seen by their online pictures posted for all to see.

Get a Pepsi, sit back, read the paper, enjoy the investigation, and don't fall into the trap.
Buy the coin and not the slab. The paper allows you to see absolute proof that a blind faith in the companies can cost you big time.

BTW:
Here is the obvious die marker PCGS and other "professionals" don't seem to know about. What bothers me is the company guarantees the grading experts they assign to grade each coin has a speciality in that specific coin (its in the paper). So how do so many obvious errors get by so many alleged Kennedy specialists?

I remember having to buy one in 1982 to keep my Kennedy set complete at the time. (Even though it is not technically part of the set)
The dealer was a good salesman.
I think you have THE 1982 P no FG here. Good for you.

I don't think Heritage takes submissions less than $5,000 value. You could try Great Collections.

It is likely not worth getting this half dollar slabbed. It probably won't grade high enough. Look at ebay SOLD items and you can see an MS65 sold for 165.00 and another sold in MS65 for 85.00. Other prices are in between these.

And some of the ones currently seen as sold on ebay are labeled incorrectly as being No FG.

After the PCGS membership fee, attribution fee, selling fees, you might make 5.00.
