Been awhile since I did one of these, but I'd like to see everyone's opinion on this one. Thank you for any responses.

Beautiful coin. MS64+ is my opinion. Worth over $2000 I think.

I'm at MS-64+ as well. Knockout!

I see it at MS 65. Vertical scratch on left wing from bottom going up about 2/3. Light chatter in field between left wing and wreath. Obverse bag marks cheek and neck. I think the only thing holding it from a higher grade would be the wing scratch. The bag marks and chatter seem minimal.

I'd say MS-64+, I don't see it making 65 with that light scratch on the wing. Great looking coin!

this is a really nice 91(CC). normally you will see average strikes for this year, I put this one as sharp and bold. Luster is there. A few scuffs and marks on both sides most likely from banging up against other sisters. the eye appeal is above average. I agree that this is the spitting eagle variety I think the strike will offset the scuffs and marks and it would come in at MS65

I recently purchased this coin from GC, their pictures actually made it look even better. With the grade given to it from NGC I HAD to have it and bid over going prices for it. When I got it in hand I thought it was at least a 64, my son said he thought it could go 65. So, we were in the same range as everyone here. For some reason NGC didn't see it the way everyone else (including me) sees it...... NOTE: BUY THE COIN NOT THE HOLDER!!! Thanks for all the replies!!!

The TPG's sometimes will down grade a Morgan with a clean cheek and few marks to MS62 because the coin lacks strong luster.
