This coin is well circulated and has some kind of adhesive that stood up to an acetone dip. A nice looking Cud I couldn't pass up for $8. The opposite side weakness doesn't stand out like most Cuds but it is there along the rim.

Nice Cud. Might be water based glue or varnish.

Does it have the arc shape of a coin?

The adhesive is stuck in between IGWT and the date if that is what you're asking.

Looks more like a residue from a cleaning. Nice find. weakness shows on the obverse at 2:30. Possible carbon spots on areas of this coin. So that might explain with the power on the obverse devices? But an image I'll add to my educational files as the reverse Cuds on wheat cents don't often break off the die. They are often held in place by the collar during the strikes.

I mean the shape of the Cud looks like the shape of a cent. Like when a coin blank is made in to an incomplete planchet?
