For example, why aren't Lincoln Cent albums dated 1909-1958 (wheat), THEN 1959-2009 (memorial & anniversary), then 2010-date? Washington quarters 1932-1964 (silver), then 1965-1998 (clad), then statehood? Why do album manufactures have to include error and proof coins, I just want coins meant for circulation. Maybe offer an error and/or proof page separately? I want some order to my collection! I don't want to use notebooks and 2x2's, I like the way coin albums look on my shelf. I'm talking to you Whitman, Dansco (if you ever come back), Intercept Shield (if you start again), even Littleton (only buy supplies from them), maybe someone new? (I know the market is too small). This is a stupid rant, but my OCD (Organized Coin Display) made me do it! Edited by russell1256 04/03/2022 09:27 am

@russ, if you pick up too many more albums, then you are gonna have to pitch that Yankees baseball in the trash. Seriously though that is a pretty impressive display!

You might have to start making your own albums.

Coin albums make sense, just use them the way you want. Here is my Canadian Large Cents, last page. I used it for what I wanted.

Very nice lineup - looks great!
When I do a set I cannot always use a typical album anyway b/c I like to include the major varieties as well. So, like for my Kennedy set, I got all Air-Tites and bought the Encap sheets. I cannot make a uniform lineup like your shelf, but at present I have only got two sets in Encap albums anyway.

Two albums that make no sense to me: 1) Whitman Canada Small Cents #2 (1989-2012) This is supposed to be for circulated coins, but it has a hole for the 2010 steel cent, which is only available from the Specimen Set 2) Whitman Canada 25 Cents #6 (starting 2010) It has no holes for the 2008 and 2009 quarters (no holes for them in the previous folder #5) and has only FOUR holes for the War of 1812 eight-count set. I'm sure I can find more.

It would be much more effective if you expressed your concerns to the album manufacturers.

I just discovered CAPS products
You can get custom printed Binders and you can create custom backer boards for their pages and they have text on the front and back
You can set up a binder any way you want and if you change a page down the raod you can just order another custom backer board
