As asked I'm posting all my inherited coins as separate threads for grading. Also, I'm not a coin collector, so it would be helpful if I could get a dollar amount estimate to go along with the grade.

The 1801 draped bust dollar has the heraldic eagle reverse and also grades about extra fine 45. It is worth about $6,500 and can bring more in the right setting. It is very original and in demand by collectors. It is in great condition but note the scratches in front of the chin of Liberty.

I'm at EF-45 as well, but scratches may detail it.

This one is in almost uncirculated condition but has some damage in the field in front on Miss Liberty's neck. It does not appear to be "adjustment marks". It would probably net grade "AU Details" because of that damage. In spite of that, it is still worth thousands of dollars and is still a very desirable coin to most collectors.

That scratch could detail it but if straight graded it would cost 10 points. Straight as VF30 or XF Details - Scratched.

Gosh what a beautiful coin. I'm just going to completely ignore the scratches and admire the detail in the hair curls, dress folds, eagle...

Recently, the topic was discussed here that PCGS (and possibly other companies) sometimes put a higher rating in order to adjust the market. That rare coins may have a slightly inflated valuation to saturate the coin market. Perhaps if you send this coin, something similar will happen to it and appraisers will ignore the scratch. But this is not accurate. The coin is still gorgeous and the most important thing is that it is authentic.

i would put an XF45 grade on this one. it could go as high as AU50. these early halfs and dollars can be a challenge to accurately grade due to striking issues in those early years. i dont think the scratch will make a big difference in this one. but you never know how a TPG will assess that. imo it grades straight. i would use about a $6000 conservative value for this one for shipping insurance purposes but if it comes back at AU50 straight it could be another $1500

AU-50 details, scratched. It might get a pass with a TPG though.

AU50, beautiful coin, I think PCGS will be lenient enough to straight grade it.

This is another beauty. Unfortunately the scratches do hurt the value no matter if the designation is straight or not. I'm gonna be an outlier and pit this at AU details.

Obverse AU-50, reverse AU-53, Details because of the scratches. This is still a fantastic coin, and would be in demand. Not all "Details" coins are alike. These scratches are in the field, don't detract that much from the appearance, and are a bit covered up by the toning.
