As asked I'm posting all my inherited coins as separate threads for grading. Also, I'm not a coin collector, so it would be helpful if I could get a dollar amount estimate to go along with the grade.   |

The 1797 draped bust dollar is the 10x6 stars variety and grades about very fine 30. It is worth about $6,000-7,000 and can bring more in the right setting. It is very original and in demand by collectors.

Wonderful coin! Appears to be VF30'ish, uncleaned and is worth good money. If you were to go out and buy one on the open market you could expect to pay at least 7 to 8 K$ for one in similar condition.
Definitely needs to be sent for 3rd party grading and encapsulation to achieve maximum value when/if the time comes!
You grandpa had a keen eye for value!

@star, I'm not qualified to offer an opinion as to grade, originality, or value, but I did want to thank you posting all of these wonderful coins. It is only rarely that we see such an amazing group of coins like this. Regardless of whether you slab and keep or sell them, this has been great fun to view them all on these threads.

A gorgeous coin. I advise you to send it for evaluation to TPG to achieve the maximum selling price. I envy you. I can't afford coins of this type. |

another knock-out coin.
minimum VF30. I think its closer to VF35 but I would go conservative on this one.
you have what is called the 10X6 stars variety. 10 stars on the left and 6 on this right. there is no price difference . it had an original mintage of about 7700
personally I would value it at $6500 for shipping insurance

Nice VF-30. I can tell this was part of an old collection. It would be very hard to find so many nice original coins like this now without spending a lot of time and money.

These coins are all nearly perfect representations of originality with loads of eye appeal. VF-30. Again, I'm honored to lay my eye balls on these! Thanks for sharing. Would have loved to talk to gramps.
