Yes exactly looks like graffiti from a ballpoint pen.

It certainly didn't happen when the coin was struck so it has to be some form of PMD.

Would be interesting to check the coin's appearance after a loooong soak in 100% acetone.

Agree with all of the above. And to follow up on what John1 said, America use cents and some other Countries like early Australia, U.K. ect... use Pennies. It is pointed out only for education.

Now a damaged coin. I've seen this before: Not a mint error. Someone with too much time on their hands.

BALL POINT PEN", Graffiti" OMG you guys have a lit of imagination COOP, the lines in the pictures are thicker and they are incuse. The lines on my coin are more thin than if it were a ballpoint pen. And quick question, putting a coin in acetone damages it?

Different types of pens have different sizes of ball tips. No way this could be a mint error. If it were a die issue, then all the affected areas would be raised, not incuse. Incuse damage happens 99% of the time on damaged circulation coins. 1% of the time it is a mint error. This coin was altered. Post Strike Damage

Your CENT is a victim of post mint damage. Whatever the tool was to damage this cent, damage is damage, however formed. It did not leave the mint looking like this.

Waste of money. This is a doctored "false error" coin beyond a doubt.
