Hi everyone,
I just pulled out the most intimidating part of my collection, my Buffalo nickels. This one has a partial date. Not sure if it's a 26 or 28? Also I'm thinking it could be a P mint mark? I know there are other factors to help identify dateless buffalos like the wavy ribbon and 3 feathers, but I've only started collecting and studying coins in mid 2021.
Any help with this would be so appreciated!!! Any articles, links and information are welcomed as well.
As for my few days on this site, I have yet to be disappointed. I have gotten quick, professional and knowledgeable information at every post! Great group!
Thank you so much!

You could try a soak in Vinegar to see if the date comes through. Vinegar has been suggested on the CCF several times. Let's see what others think? In the meantime, I clearly see your conundrum. I'll say it's a "6" due to it's curves. Good luck!

1926 no mintmark. Don't damage the coin with acids, as you now know the date.
