I found this penny (Iam new to this) and Need help figuring out what it is. It looks like it was stamped twice (once inverted) and the back us totally different from a penny image. It weighs 3.15g. Any thoughts?

Sorry to say that is a vise job, just damage. Another cent was squeezed or pounded into it causing the reverse image.

I believe this is a so-called "vise job", not a true error but an intent to deceive.

to the CCF!

to the CCF and vise job. The way to tell is that when they squeeze the other coin into it, it leaves a mirrored or backwards impression. We see a lot of these here. Your 1st one is exciting, the next one you'll know it's just damage.

I'm so bummed. I found in with in a hugh pail of wheat coins the guy was selling for 8 for $1.
BTW...that's a fork holding it up. I'd never use pliers either.
Thanks for all the input and I learned something as well. Although I would never have guessed it purposely being done.
I'll keep looking.

Disappointed that the consensus is a "vise job". If I had found it I would have thought it was an amazing mint error. Can a vice really INVERT the relief like this? That's also amazing in itself.

The inverted device is the main evidence that it is a vise job. Another coin was squeezed into this coin, the device on the other coin makes a reverse impression on this one causing the inverted image.
