Forgive my well known ignorance here, but I'm a skeptic by nature!! As the title states, my mother in law, who I stopped by to visit today, gave me a pretty sweet early birthday present! With this being my very first graded coin I'm not sure what to look for when it comes to counterfeits! I'm pretty sure she ordered this coin from TV, which I'm clueless as to whether that's a good idea or not! But she kept saying it was special due to the fact it was minted in 2022, yet a 2023 W ultra cameo walking liberty, but I thought that was pretty common? Any how, she told me what she paid for it, which I thought ess a Lil high, so I'll post some pics and see if younguys can tell me what exactly I have and what any if you would pay for the same coin To me that certificate of authenticity looks like something anybody could print off a computer, and wouldn't the mint be authenticating?

It is genuine but was likely overpriced, as the FCM is making a tidy profit off these. Sometimes it is the thought that counts on a gift, and this seems like a nice and generous gesture.

Nice presentation, but I hope she wasn't too taken the packaging. Thank her with love and a hug anyway !

Sorry I fell asleep right after posting, but I definitely feel she over paid, believe she said it was 3 & a half bills, but I'm having trouble finding a value for the 2023's?
And is that a bunch of b.s. the whole struck in 22 but on a 23 coin? I believe I remember seeing a post on here about the "first strike" editions being a gimmic, but not sure if this falls in same category?
Lastly, is ANACS a reputable grading organization? Again forgive my ignorance, but think I remember discussions on this forum that talked about the reputations of different grading companies? But this my first experience with any of em, so I don't know if they're considered the "macy's" of grading institutions, or the "dollar general"

ANACS is one of the top 3. $350 is not too bad. If you click the link I posted you can see they were struck in 2022. John1

ANACS is a reputable company, it is in the top 4 to whom you can entrust your coins, including PCGS, NGC and ICG. Perhaps the person really overpaid a little, since she does not know the coin market well and places where you can buy cheaper, this is normal. just enjoy the gift and don't worry too much.

IMHO,this is a case of buying the holder and not the coin. Beware of that unless you do collect holders. John1

Whatever I get her, she's likely to return, either discreetly take it to the bank and have it deposited in our account, or buy something for us!!! That's just who she is
