Because 100's of thousands of the can be found on all coins struck with that die until retirement. Die Cuds are low in numbers and a retirement for a die, thus they do have value. But when many coin can still be struck with, cracks/chips/breaks they are not retirement issues for a die. Report this Post to the Staff
